The way I travel has changed as I've gotten older—and I think I like it better this way.

I don't need to squeeze EVERYTHING into a vacation anymore. I'm much happier slowing down, sitting on the balcony, reading my book, watching a sunset, changing the plans, or skipping something altogether because we're having too much fun where we already are.

I've done the vacations where I tried to fit everything in.

These days, I'd rather come home with memories than a completed checklist.

Anyone else traveling a little differently in this season of life?

The more I travel, the more I realize how many little things I notice now.

How easy is it to get around? Where can someone go when they want a little quiet? Who would LOVE the entertainment—and who probably wouldn't? How accessible is the experience? What questions should I be asking my travelers before recommending it?

Those are some of the things I'll be paying attention to during my Learning at Sea experience this week.

I'm not just there to see a ship. I'm there to learn who I should recommend it to—and who might be happier somewhere else.
