ART supplements the regional Metro system with cross-town routes and by providing service to neighborhoods not served by Metrobus. ART - Arlington Transit is a local bus system provided by Arlington County, Virginia. ART operates neighborhood-friendly vehicles and provides access to Metrorail and the Shirlington Transit Center. ART is environmentally friendly, operating on clean-burning compressed

natural gas (CNG). All ART buses are fully ADA accessible with wheelchair lifts or ramps and priority seating for seniors and people with disabilities. Arlington County Government provides accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities as described in the Americans with Disabilities Act. Here's everything you need to know about the Arlington County Fair Shuttle! 🎡

1. The shuttle is FREE!
2. The shuttle runs every day of the fair, August 12 – 16
3. The shuttle is located at the Ballston Mall Parking Garage near the corner of N Randolph and N Glebe Rd. This location has enough space to fit multiple buses and operate smoothly with traffic!
4. Shuttles operate a half hour before the fair opens to a half hour after it closes, and continuously throughout between the Ballston Mall Parking Garage and the fairgrounds.
5. The shuttle drops you off right at the Arlington County Fair gates on Second St S
6. Did we mention it's FREE?

There's no parking at the Arlington County Fair, so try the shuttle!

This month, the Northern Virginia Transportation Authority (NVTA) has committed $776 million toward 21 multimodal transportation projects across Northern Virginia that will enhance all modes of transportation in the region – including ART! 🚌

Projects in Arlington County will improve streets and intersections, bike and pedestrian infrastructure, and even introduce Next Generation Bus Rider Info that will upgrade route and schedule information for riders.

💚 We're excited to see these improvements start to come to life!

⚡Our electric bus fleet is expanding! ⚡

⚡🚌 8 new Gillig Battery Electric Buses have been delivered to replace 8 aging NABI buses – the oldest buses in our fleet. We’ll be rolling these buses out in August, bringing our total BEB fleet to 12!

🔋 These new BEBs have a 686 kWh battery capacity and will help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve air quality.

💚 We’re excited to be moving closer to a 100% zero-emission bus fleet!

You can set your pick-up or drop-off location anywhere within the green outlines – even the small nodes by the Madison Community Center, the Virginia Hospital Center, East Falls Church Metro Rail Station, Ballston-MU Metro Rail Station.
