Ruth Gonzales, a lifelong Arlington resident, is stepping down from her seat after 14 years of service as an Airport Commissioner for the City of Arlington.

Ruth Gonzales’s professional background and historical knowledge of Arlington Municipal Airport helped the Commission and airport staff ensure that decisions were made with the best interests of the airport and the City in mind.

Ruth’s tenure as a commissioner included many challenging and influential changes for the airport. Her steady, informed guidance has been a tremendous asset.

Staff have valued the opportunity to work with Ruth and are deeply grateful for her contributions. Her 14-year tenure is among the longest in Arlington Airport history for a commissioner.

The City of Arlington extends its sincere appreciation to Ruth for her many years of service and leadership on the Airport Commission.
