🔥 MS Wildfire Alert: 13 Counties Under Burn Bans
We are entering peak wildfire season, and dry conditions across Mississippi are making outdoor burning extremely dangerous.
If you live in one of the counties listed below, a burn ban is currently in effect, which means strictly NO outdoor burning of any kind (no campfires, debris burning, or open flames).
Affected Counties:
🚫 Lee, Tate, Benton, Sunflower, Marshall, Lafayette, Copiah, Rankin, Jefferson, Covington, Grenada, Franklin, and Jefferson Davis.
⚠️ Please note: This list is being updated as conditions change and more counties may be added. Be sure to check mfc.ms.gov/burn-bans for the absolute latest updates before considering a fire.
