The IT Projects Club would like to extend a thank you to everyone who showed up to last week's Computer Troubleshooting Clinic. We had an excellent turn out! Our technicians did some fine work and were able to get a lot of great experience. We are always happy to help in any way that we can. Hope to see you next year for our 3rd Annual Spring Computer Clinic!

Last Friday, our club had the opportunity to tour the Marshfield Clinic Data Center. We learned about the environmental controls necessary to keep a data center running at maximum efficiency and got to see a large production network up close. Thank you to everyone who has supported our fundraisers at WITC-Ashland -- you made this trip possible!

Thank you so much to everyone who stopped by to support our Lego Robotics Scholarship fundraiser yesterday! The WITC-Ashland I.T. Projects Club bake sale raised enough money for 10 scholarships for the WITC Lego Robotics class. These need-based scholarships will cover half of each recipient's tuition for the "College for Kids" Lego Robotics class that Paul Gordon teaches in the summer!

Registration for the Lego Robotics class opens on April 23rd. Class is June 11th-14th, 9:00AM-12:00PM.

We set up 80 MHz channels for the Ubiquity Wireless APs in the IT labs and they hum right along at over 200 Mbps. Not quite the 1Gbps that 802.11ac promises, but still pretty good.

Last Friday’s computer clinic was a huge success! Our club tackled a range of issues including a dead screen, a couple of bad batteries, operating system upgrades, and virus clean-ups. We’re waiting for some replacement parts to come in so we can put the finishing touches on a few devices, and then it’s on to the next project!

Thank you to all of the community members who brought devices in, the Bad River Housing Authority for hosting us, and the Great Lakes Inter-Tribal Council for making it all possible.
