Here's something most drivers don't think about until it costs them: the load itself isn't the win. Where it leaves you is.

We've seen $2,800 loads that looked great on paper turn into a day and a half of sitting, because the market on the other end had nothing coming back out.

Meanwhile a "smaller" load that dropped you somewhere active kept the whole week moving.

That's the math we're doing every time, before anything gets booked.

If your dispatcher isn't thinking past the load in front of you, you're probably losing more than you realize. 📉

We see it all the time: an owner-operator grabs the "best paying" load on the board and still ends up in the red for the week.

Why? RPM is only one piece of the puzzle. Deadhead miles, fuel burn, and what your next reload looks like all decide whether that load actually makes you money.
