“You’re always working”

This is what my husband said to me a few summers ago about halfway through our summer.

I had to really sit down and ask myself, is that true? Am I really always working?

The honest truth was this- no, but I also hadn’t set myself up for success and set clear expectations with my family. So all they saw were the times I was heading down to my office.

I knew I had to shift some things so we could all have the best summer ever.

Here’s what I did:

❤️ put up a calendar with all of my working hours
❤️ added a bunch of fun activities on the calendar
❤️ clearly communicated when I wasn’t available

We’ve been doing this every summer since and it’s been amazing.

Raise your hand if your face does this, when someone mentions networking 🙋‍♀️
ME TOOO!!!!
I will tell you, though, not really networking and putting myself out there was the number 1 thing that contributed to how slowly my business moved. The bottom line is that you really do have to talk to people.
One of the big shifts that I made with myself, though was this- I am not networking to gain clients. I am networking to former relationships and it's the relationships that turn into the best clients.
This is hard though. You NEED the clients. And relationships can take a long time to come to fruition.
Yes and yes. I can tell you, though, from personal experience, when you show up with the intention to build relationships and get to know the person and their businesses, it results in way better clients.
People always ask: "How do you start conversations with people?"
2 Things:
1. It really can be as simple as "Hey _____! How are you? How's your summer going?" (This works well when following up with people you've already talked to.
2. Find a connection and connect over the thing you have in common. One of my favorites and easiest connections is kids.
Stop overcomplicating it. Just go talk to people. Ya know, like a person.

So what's this training series all about?

This training series is perfect for the service provider who is reaching a point of needing to make some changes in her business. She's been working with a variety of different clients, but realizing she's ready to not be working so many hours and not getting paid enough.

During this training series, the goal is to give you the tools you need to start building those consistent $5k months before you reach burn out so you can love your business and who you work with. I've been on both sides and know how crucial working with people who actually value you really is. I also know what it's like to be sitting and spinning your wheels, hoping for the right answer to just fall in your lap or out of the sky.

The Logistics:
- we have a private facebook group where all of the recordings will be housed. If you choose to upgrade to VIP (which is free for you, so why the heck not?!), you will get an email with the zoom link so you can join me on the zoom live and ask me questions directly.

- for VIP, after the training series has finished, you will get a link to see/view all of the recordings with lifetime access.

- After each day's training, we have a quick action task to complete. It makes it real and allows you to see the progress of what we're talking about as we work through the training series.

- We will have daily prizes (a $10 giftcard) that I will draw the name of at the beginning of the next day. And one grand prize.
