The client doesn’t need to see the three-hour drive. They need to see a clean, prepared vehicle when it arrives.

Before an out-of-town assignment, part of my planning process is locating a reliable full-service car wash near the pickup area. After three hours on Texas highways, even a freshly cleaned black Yukon will collect bugs, dust, and road grime.

So instead of washing it before leaving home, I build enough time into the schedule to have the exterior washed, the interior refreshed, and the vehicle hand-dried shortly before pickup.

The details matter—especially the ones the client never has to think about.
