New work for Laurel, A Collective - We were asked to design the overall footprint of the collective (where it sits in Charleston) along with some sketches of the architectural elements set to adorn this special building. These specific architectural elements (columns, cornices, lanterns, wrought iron gates, decorative wreaths etc) are all being hand crafted by the students at the American College of the Building Arts with the guidance from the brilliant thought leader and architect behind the project, Charles Sottile. More to on this project soon but it has been such a pleasure seeing a building come to life with such thoughtful craftsmanship behind it. A departure from the typical urban sprawl architecture we’ve been seeing lately. Charleston deserves more of this.
