Spent the day cycling around London, going to museums ( Modern and ), markets, restaurants, and more. As a transit nerd I love the Tube, but cycling across town is usually faster and not that much more expensive if you use a . I had to bend one of my to fit on my right temple (an easy fix) and should have made some up for myself and others with British and Irish bottle caps and a spoke bent to fit on the right temple. Next time I guess. Thanks to , sure the facilities could be better but they’re pretty impressive already.

Thanks to at for the from to go with my cheese & onion pasty and for letting me dig through their leftover . Got some nice ones and hope to get some local ones while in London (although most craft breweries have switched entirely to cans or use plain bottle caps).

You still have two weeks left to bring your Christmas trees to our beloved Sisson Street Transfer Station and I’m grateful that I live in a neighborhood close to a place where recycling is collected (including compost) and that the City has put in protected bike lanes that make it safe for me to ride here on major streets (Maryland, 28th, & Sisson) with an 8’ tree on the back of my cargo bike. And the with a cap from my local brewery (which I’ll visit during the snowstorm) makes it much safer.

This Thanksgiving I’m thankful for so many things, including the growing amount of safe bicycling facilities, my health and ability to ride, that I was able to do ’s ride with several colleagues from my day job, and of course for all of the ReBcycle customers to my
shop. One customer in Colorado just ordered her 26th item since 2017 (she gives them as gifts to friends). I’ve often seen and loved the for and on my last full day in London I bought a bottle of their Hells (the lovechild of two German beer styles - Helles and Pilsner) and had it with the Ghanaian Jollof rice that I got from for dinner. Today was the last day of my trip and also part of the in ’s neighborhood. So I had a bowl of curried jackfruit with a Guinness Foreign Extra brewed in Nigeria. It’s a great addition to the 16 or 17 other styles of bottle caps that I have available for . And if that’s not your thing we’ve got lots of other Caribbean options like , , , and and soda along with 1,400 other caps from around the world. And the shop is back open after being closed for two weeks during the trip.

Thanks to the staff of Legends Irish Sports Bar and Grill in Lagos, who collected a bunch of Super Bock, Cerveja Sagres, Cerveja Crystal, and Somersby bottle caps for future while I watched Tottenham Hotspur win the first match of the season. Don’t worry! Rather than bike home after a few beers in a new town, I decided to take the bus (third transit ride of the day). Grateful that is located along bike facilites and two relatively frequent bus lines. Not knowing Portuguese music I hope the songs I’ve picked for these are ok (definitely not as good a what was playing at the brewery).

Once I got to and parked my bike, I met a bunch of great staff that gave me LOTS of MUSA bottle caps (white and coral) along with a bunch from and to make future bicycling mirrors (some of which will be mailed to the brewery for staff to use). I also gave a couple of the servers mirrors that I had with me, one from a Oberon and another from (not pictured here). Finally I had a great vegan burger, fries, and their .
