Hi everyone, I wanted to take a minute to (re)introduce myself!
😊
I’m Krista, the person behind Fantastical Vacations by Krista Carter and I’ve been a travel advisor for four years and was recently promoted to Senior Advisor with Fantastical Vacations. I focus on cruises, luxury tours, and all-inclusive vacations, plus Disney & Unviersal and I truly love helping my clients plan trips that are smooth, well thought out, and something they can really look forward to.

Outside of travel, my life is pretty rooted in the coast. My husband Shane is a commercial lobsterman, and we split our time between Bar Harbor, Maine and SW Florida throughout the year. We have a daughter, Emily, who is in college studying aerospace engineering, and a chocolate lab named Lola who keeps us on our toes.

I also work as the bookkeeper for my family’s business, Down East Fishing Gear, where we manufacture lobster traps and have a retail lobster fishing supply store. Needless to say, I wear a few different hats day to day.

When it comes to my own travel style, I love cruises and Walt Disney World. I’ll be honest though — I like a more elevated experience, especially when it comes to where I stay.

A few random things about me: my favorite food is Mexican, I’ll always order a margarita on the rocks with salt, and Fall is my favorite time of year.

Happy check-in day to the S family!

They’re headed to Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort!

This is my favorite moderate resort for dining — there are SO many options from a sports bar, an open air restaurant, and rooftop tapas bar with fireworks views!

Just booked!

This family is thinking ahead to Spring Break 2027! They’ll be sailing out of Port Canaveral on the brand-new Royal Caribbean ship, Star of the Seas and embarking on a 7-night Western Caribbean itinerary!

I toured this ship in June and my key takeaways are:

❤️ The Hideaway 18+ aft infinity pool area is awesome. However, it can get crowded so get there early! Lincoln Park Supper Club is the best dinner show that Royal offers and the ambiance is next level! Seriously consider a Sky Suite - the amenities that it includes are totally worth it! This is a GREAT ship for teens and the 18-20 year olds — they have their own “not kids but not adults” club, Social020.

🫤 I don’t love the infinity balconies - they’re not true balconies. They do make your cabin feel larger, but it’s more like a sitting area where you can put the window down. The Promenade has tons of energy. A super fun way to start your trip. But it can be very overwhelming. If you favor peace and quiet, head to the Overlook instead.

It is definitely NOT too early to plan your Spring Break vacation! Availability for most warm-weather destinations is pretty good, this ship and sailing is selling fast. I would love to help you plan your vacation! DM and we’ll talk!

This morning’s teaser stated “Let’s coordinate to meet back up tomorrow for a big announcement” with the attached graphic.

I’m no genius on cartography, so I ran those numbers through Chat GPT and it is guessing the following homeports:

40° 46.3’ N - New York
18° 27’ N - San Juan, Puerto Rico
29° 18.2’ N - Galveston, Texas
32° 43.3’ N - San Diego, California
26° 5.4’ N - Port Everglades (Fort Lauderdale), Florida
28° 24’ N - Port Canaveral, Florida

Now, New York is a big one as they haven’t had much of a presence there over the last several years. San Juan is also a biggie - maybe we will see some true Southern Caribbean ports of call? 🤔

Universal has just opened 2027 vacation packages for travel advisors to book through the end of the year, which means it’s officially time to start planning those 2027 Universal adventures!

And with Epic Universe now part of the Universal Orlando Resort experience, there is SO much to look forward to. 🪄🌋🦖

Happy check-in day to the S/C family!

These Disney adults originally planned a WDW vacation for last Christmas but life got in the way. So we rescheduled them to today!

Since rescheduling, I was able to reprice their reservation to a lower rate AND upgrade them to the Grand Floridian! They are so excited for their first stay at this amazing resort!
