One of my favorite ways to experience a destination is by seeing it from the water. So this boat tour of Muckross Lake and the Meeting of the Waters was a true delight. 🇮🇪

There’s something about getting out on the water that makes you feel like you’re experiencing a place rather than simply sightseeing. Cruising across the lake, surrounded by the mountains and forests of Killarney National Park, gave us an entirely different perspective of this beautiful part of Ireland.

It was peaceful, personal, and exactly the kind of immersive experience I love finding when I travel.

If Killarney is on your Ireland itinerary, I’d absolutely add this one to the list.

Remember when you could walk someone all the way to their gate at the airport?

In a small way, that experience is coming back.

A new program called Gateside by TSA PreCheck allows eligible non-ticketed visitors to apply for a pass to go through airport security at participating airports.

That means you could potentially walk a loved one to their gate, meet someone when they arrive, or even visit a friend or family member who has a long layover.

There are a few catches: you need to have TSA PreCheck or another qualifying Known Traveler Number, you have to apply in advance, and the program is currently available at only 13 airports.

But I think this could be especially helpful for families, older travelers, nervous flyers, or anyone who would simply appreciate having someone with them all the way to the gate.
