🌟 Day 3 🌟

Knowing that we’d be out late tonight, we started our day at the pool!

💦 The pools at Disney are open from 10 am - 11 pm (hours may change slightly throughout the year).

🍔 We enjoyed some lunch poolside before getting ready for the party.

🎟️ You can get into Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party at 4 pm with your party ticket. I’d recommend getting in line around 3 pm; they’ll start passing out the party wristbands while you wait, and they usually start letting people in around 3:45 pm.

🎃 The party runs from 7 pm - midnight

🏰 We had day tickets in addition to the party, so we got to the park around 3 pm. Crowds are typically low on party days during the day because the park closes at 6 pm to those that aren’t attending the party.

🚂 We were able to ride several rides with very short waits, and dodged in an out of the rain as well!

🎃 If you’re interested in party-exclusive merchandise, it can be found in the Emporium on Main Street. They have a very organized line to get into this special area.

🍬 Trick or Treating throughout the Magic Kingdom
🎢 Special ride overlays (like Space Mt. in complete darkness - even darker than normal!)
🧙 Villan Spelltackular stage show in front of the castle featuring the Sanderson Sisters and all the Villans
🎆 Special fireworks show
🎃 Boo to You parade - highlights are the headless horseman and the Haunted Mansion grave diggers
📷 Special character meet and greet, and special PhotoPass Magic Shots

👻 We wrapped up the night by riding Haunted Mansion right at midnight.

🕰️ The party ends at midnight, but the last stage show is also at midnight, and the gift shops are still open. We left the park about 12:30 am and the park was still packed!

🌟 Day 2 🌟

💦 🎿 🎄 🏝️ The story of Blizzard Beach is a ski resort that melted. This results is a beachy-holiday vibe, complete with a ski life to take you to the top of the ‘mountain.’

🛝 With water slides, a wave pool, lazy river, kiddie area, and an area for pre-teens, this was the perfect way to kick off our vacation!

🌧️ This time of year in Florida, you can expect an afternoon shower. Today was no different with some rain hitting around 4 pm. Just know that this is a daily occurrence and you’ll be prepared. Don’t let it ruin your plans!

⛳️ Did you know that there’s a mini golf course located at Blizzard Beach? It’s located outside the park entrance so you don’t need park admission! AND, you get a free round of mini golf with your Walt Disney World package!

🚌 Some of the resorts have directly bus transportation to Blizzard Beach, while others have to take a bus to Animal Kingdom theme park and transfer there. Everything is well marked so just follow the signs!

📦 If you didn’t know, you can get packages delivered directly to your resort. Be sure to include your name and your arrival date in the delivery notes, and your package will be left with bell services. There is a $6 fee that the resort will charge to your room account.

🇺🇸 We finished the evening by heading to Epcot to ride a few of our favorite rides. We had dinner at Regal Eagle Smokehouse, which is the quick service location in the American Pavilion. And you can mobile order here!

✈️ Travel Day! 🏰

☀️ We’re headed to Disney for a quick trip before we head back to school! We’re looking forward to relaxing a bit, experiencing some things we haven’t done before, and attending Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! 🎃

Today’s tips and takeaways:

✅ Utilize curbside check-in at the airport if it’s available! We’re lucky enough to have Mimi and Pap as our ‘airport Uber drivers’ (thanks Mimi and Pap!) but even if you drive yourself, you can drop off your group and luggage at curbside and have one person in your party park the car. It’s quick and convenient! And if you’re parking at the Pittsburgh airport, reserve your spot ahead of time online!

✈️ ❤️💙💛 We always fly Southwest. One thing we have learned over the years is that if you’re flight is delayed, they try very hard to get it back on schedule. So if you see that your flight is delayed, don’t bank on it! Our flight was delayed, and as we were eating dinner at the airport it reverted back to its original time! We actually ended up landing 30 minutes earlier than scheduled, and our luggage was already there by the time we got to baggage claim!

🚘 Renting a car is quick and easy at the Orlando airport. We always use Alamo and select ‘Skip the Counter’. It’s very simple to collect your luggage and head to the rental car area. This trip we’re doing a few things that would be easier and quicker to have our own car, and parking is free at the Disney Resorts, and at the parks if you’re staying on property!

💦 🛝 ☀️ Did you know that water park admission is FREE on your check-in day through September 8th? (And summer 2027 as well!) since we arrived late this evening, tomorrow we’re switching resorts so that tomorrow is our ‘check-in’ day, and we have the full day to enjoy Blizzard Beach!
