Alright so everybody is putting their qualifications out. Allow me to post mine

I have about five years in Corrections.
Certified 2018 by the Florida Department of Corrections when I lived there from 2016-2020. I also worked for the Stone County Regional Correctional Facility.

I am a native of West Biloxi born and raised here where I lived for the first thirty years of my life. I returned home in 2020.

What I bring to the table and what sets me apart from Matt Haley is my fortitude and my integrity. I don't have, nor do I want a bunch of wealthy political donors and I am not asking for a dime from anybody.

I love Harrison County and I am tired of seeing my home look like a haven for dope dealers and criminals who prey on our community.

Some of the things I would like to do is expand the Harrison County Jail. Larkin Smith was a smart man with foresight when he built the jail. He built it with expansion in mind and the jail is capable of being expanded. I would like to have open bay dormitories as opposed to two man or single man cells. I would like to keep the cells for those offenders who are too high risk or violent to be housed in open bay dorms.

I would also like to house mentally ill offenders in a segregated area of the jail so they may get help they need.

I want mental health counselors on call and to be made available to all law enforcement agencies on the coast. If the Biloxi Police Department arrests somebody who is obviously mentally ill I think a counselor should determine the course of treatment that the police should provide. I would also like to make this position cooperative with all Justice and Municipal Courts in the county.

I want all citizens to know that my goal is zero lawsuits for civil rights violations. I want my deputies trained properly on how to do their jobs effectively so they may not trample the civil rights of citizens they encounter.

My door, the one to the Sheriff's Office at the jail that is locked currently, will be removed at the hinges and will remain open. I promise that I will be YOUR sheriff, not the sheriff to those who have special access. I pledge an open door policy. I work for you.

If a Deputy violates the Constitution of the United States or the State of Mississippi I will personally strip that deputy of his job and walk him out of the department in shame, with criminal charges, if applicable.

I stand with Afroman. I have no problem with cops enforcing the law but this is a case of DO IT RIGHT AND YOU WONT HAVE PROBLEMS

The US Constitution is the supreme law of the land. Any law enforcement officer or agent that violates the Constitution should immediately be de-certified and should never work in law enforcement again.

When I am Sheriff of Harrison County, Mississippi I promise to train all sworn personnel on respecting the Constitutional rights of all citizens. Excessive force will be met with criminal charges.

I have no problem backing good officers who do their job properly and I believe that they outnumber the bad officers. I believe in the Harrison County Sheriffs Department, however, I believe there is much room for improvement.

I pledge to have an open door policy. I remember when the Sheriff's office at the jail was accessible to anyone. Now it has become a locked bunker where Matt Haley can hide from the general public. This policy was started under Troy Peterson and continues today. When I am Sheriff, the door will be removed and all will have access as I will never forget that I work for you, the citizens of Harrison County.
