Sound has been a lifelong passion for me; from the time I discovered Recording, setting up 4 tracks and reels, to the modern PA's i set up today, and the post production audio I mastered, everything i have ever done is in Sound. I wasn't a DJ who picked it up because i was the biggest kid and could haul the biggest speakers - far from it. I was and am actually a talented Guitarist, who can hold hi

s own in amost any rock, funk, jazz environment... but Guitarists, much like DJ's, are a dime a dozen. I realized early on that the Guitar was too personal for me to just play other people's music in a cover band or recording studio, and frankly i didn't like the politics, and I came of age in an era when guitar virtuosity was being looked down on, and the country scene the only real place where it was appreciated. and I just didnt have it in me to play country music, even as i respect and admire my friends who did. So i went into Post Production Sound, where I mastered the art of Editing, Mixing, and the nuts and bolts of that field. I did it for 20 years and still freelance in that area today. I love it, and wouldn't rule out working in Post again, but when i Joined the BM community in 2006, When faced with the question of "what can I Bring to this community?", it was very clear. So I embarked on the ChinoSound Journey. I had been Building Large Theaters, helping with design and wiring, so I had become familiar with constructing large PA's. - so it was easy to transfer my knowledge of audio over to Live sound. I started off small with just a pair of JBL JRX Tops and JRX Sub, but over the years amassed gear from many manufacturers, incl JB, EAW, Turbosound, QSC, Crown, Ashly, DBX, BSS, Allen & Heath, Pioneer, and my latest System - Danley Sound Labs. to the end, when you hire ChinoSound for your event, you are not hiring a system or a set of speakers, you are hiring an Audio professional who has been working in sound and passionate about sound for over 30 years. since the time I was a kid making recordings, to my professional deployments at festivals and event up and down the West Coast, i have always been and will always be committed to the best quality sound possible.

-EAW Sb850 Subs (2) - 2 Drivers work/2 blown but need some TLC - $500/both

-EAW KF730 - FREE if you take the SB850's

This Weekend, We returned to Arguably the Best Bass Music Festival in the world- THE UNTZ. i have been to hundreds of festivals, and this is one of my favorites. the people are stupendous, love the music, and the festival proprietors are amongst the most pro, best, amazing humans. we got to bring back our Evo 7e system w F221, along with the UNHOLY ALLIANCE of the BC218 to Anchor the DEEP BASS. THIS system absolutely Destroyed. so many thanks to the , Avi, and the whole Crew. to get the opportunity to do what i love is a Privilege, and i thank you from the bottom of my heart. BOOOOOOOM!!!

So the Cat is out of the bag… DISTRIKT has decided to take 2024 off, and return in 2025….

and so am I. beenn thinking anout this since they let me know a couple weeks ago… this would have been 17 in a row- nothing left to prove for this broke dick ol dirty engineer. i fulfilled a dream last year, by deploying and being a part of the most epic camp, with epic people, for one of the most epic parties ever, and that memory on friday AM- one of my top 5 moments at BM ever.

but its time to focus on me, my health, and come back with a vengeance in 2025. and CRUSH.
