Converse County announced this morning that they are no longer approving permits after hours.

As a reminder, their hours are 7:30am - 4:30pm Monday through Friday.

If you have Converse County Self Issue you can still write permits on weekends but they have to follow all rules & regulations. Please check construction & road restrictions before travel. (If any)

While helping a family friend this morning link the Clearinghouse Portal to the FMCSA portal, I quickly realized they added another part to the whole thing today, and we weren't able to do what we needed because we were locked out. If you log in to your Portal & need clarification on the new system please let me know. It says it will be running by the 19th but it's a new system so it may take them a while.

I would not let this go past the 14th. They can & will revoke your authority. It is very easy to set up a portal account. I check mine at least once a month because it does go inactive if you don't.

There is no reason people should be skipping out on Converse County when it is so easy to get a permit approved. It normally takes me about an hour & I have my permits paid for & in my email.

I've been working with them for almost 9 years & the permit ladies & sheriffs are absolutely wonderful. They are just trying to do their job.

This is Wyoming-specific but other states will ask for everything but the Wyoming Authority so if you need clarification just ask.

Here is a current list of states for which I have permitting clearance. If you need a permit in another state not listed please email me & I will get my account started. Some states take a few hours to a couple of days to add a permitting service.

I will keep this post up to date with new states. 🙂

As of 4/14/2026 I will no longer do Colorado (CDOT) permits without at least a week to a week & a halfs notice. At this time 72 hour permits do not apply to the week/week & a half rule. Those can still be done same day. If you need clarification please call me or email me & I will be happy to explain further.

Today is the day! Sitting in a video call to learn how to run the new Montana online Permitting System that starts December 8th. I will be setting up my new third-party login the morning of the 8th.

The new system is the same online system Wyoming just switched to but Montana will have more features and is easier to run so far! I will miss Montana’s old system but the new insurance uploading feature will be nice for me because I won't have to call & wait for them to update my customer's insurance. 😃
