Camogli was such a charming stop on the Italian Riviera. 🇮🇹

Our ship stopped in Genoa, and from there we took a bus to this colorful little seaside town before continuing on to Portofino by boat.

Camogli felt relaxed, local, and beautiful in a quieter way. Colorful buildings stacked along the water, fishing boats, little streets, sea views, and that easy coastal Italy feeling.

It was the perfect place to wander for a little while, take in the views, and enjoy a slower start to our Italian Riviera day.

I love when a cruise port gives you the chance to see more than just the main city. Sometimes the smaller stops end up being the sweetest part of the day.

If the Italian Riviera is on your travel wish list, I would love to help you find the right cruise, itinerary, and experiences to match the way you like to travel.

French lavender fields have been a dream of mine for years. 🇫🇷💜

We drove through the countryside to Valensole and visited multiple lavender fields, each one more beautiful than the last.

Rows and rows of purple, the smell of lavender in the air, and bees buzzing all over the flowers. As a beekeeper, that part made me so happy.

It was simple, peaceful, and one of those travel moments I know I will always remember.
Provence was even more beautiful in person.

If seeing the lavender fields in France is on your travel wish list, I would love to help you plan the kind of trip that makes room for moments like this.

Boarding day on MSC Seaview. 🇫🇷🚢

We made our way to the port in Marseille, boarded the ship, found our room, unpacked, and officially settled into cruise mode.

Our stateroom has an extensive balcony, and I already know this is going to be one of my favorite spots on the ship.

After all the travel and walking the past couple of days, we also treated ourselves to massages, which was the perfect way to start this cruise.

We ended the evening enjoying the view from our balcony, taking it all in, and feeling so thankful to be here.

There is just something so nice about unpacking once and letting the ship take you to a new place each day. That is one of the things I love about cruising, especially in Europe. You can experience several beautiful destinations, but still have one room, one balcony, and one place to come back to each evening.

If a Mediterranean cruise is on your travel wish list, I would love to help you find the right ship, itinerary, and stateroom for the way you like to travel.

Next stop, the Mediterranean. ✨

We finished off the day back in Marseille with one very important stop near the Old Port… Marseille soap.

I stopped at La Savonnerie Marseillaise de la Licorne to pick up a little piece of Provence to bring home.

Savon de Marseille has been part of the city’s history for centuries. Traditionally made with vegetable oils, it became one of the things Marseille was known for because of its port, access to olive oil, and trade routes through the Mediterranean.

It is simple, practical, beautiful, and such a perfect souvenir from Marseille.

We ended the evening with crepes, then headed back to pack up because tomorrow we board MSC Seaview.

Marseille soap, crepes, and a walk by the Old Port. Such a sweet way to end the day.

After our morning in Aix en Provence, we drove to Valensole to walk through the lavender fields. 💜

The drive through the French countryside was beautiful all on its own. Little villages, winding roads, stone houses, and then suddenly rows and rows of lavender.

It was one of those travel moments that felt simple, but so special. No big production. Just standing in the middle of Provence, taking it all in, and feeling so thankful to be there.

The South of France has been such a sweet start to this trip.

Aix en Provence really does feel like a town made for wandering. 🇫🇷

Every few streets, we seemed to find another fountain, another quiet little square, another beautiful building, and another reason to slow down for just a minute.

Places like this have a way of making you notice the simple things. The sound of the fountains, the old streets, the pretty details, and the slower pace of a morning in the South of France.

Aix was such a sweet start to our day before heading out to the lavender fields.

After 24 hours of travel, 5 airplanes, and about 3 hours of sleep, we finally made it to Marseille, France. 🇫🇷

We quite literally dropped our luggage in the hotel room, walked down the street to the cutest little restaurant, ate a delicious meal, and came right back to the hotel to crash.

Not glamorous, not perfectly planned, but honestly such a sweet first night in France.

Tomorrow we will hopefully feel a little more rested and ready to explore before boarding MSC Seaview later this week. For now, I am just thankful we made it, thankful to be here with my mom and sister, and very thankful for a real bed tonight.

Follow along as we make our way through France, the Riviera, Italy, Spain, and a little family history along the way. ✈️🇫🇷

Out of the office, but never really off duty. ✈️

I’m heading out on a French and Italian Riviera cruise with a little extra time in France and Switzerland, and I’m so excited to experience these beautiful destinations firsthand.

I’ll be a little slower to respond while I’m traveling, but I’ll still be checking messages when I can. If you have a trip already in the works with me, please know I will keep an eye on anything time sensitive.

Also, I’d love for you to follow along! I’ll be sharing the ship, the ports, travel tips, beautiful views, and all the little details that help me better plan trips for my clients.

Thank you for your patience while I’m away. I can’t wait to bring back lots of inspiration for your future travels. 💙
