Day 7 – The Perfect Ending 🌴☀️

Our final full day was everything we wanted it to be—simple, relaxing, and just soaking it all in.

We started with breakfast and then made our way down to the beach, where our butler already had our spot saved and a cooler packed and waiting. From there, it was a full day of doing exactly what you’re supposed to do on vacation… nothing but relax.

We spent hours bouncing between the beach and the pool—floating in the ocean, hanging at the swim-up bar, relaxing in the hot tub, and even taking a kayak out to explore the water a bit. No schedule, no rushing… just enjoying every second of our last day in paradise.

After cleaning up, we kept the night low key with dinner at the Queen’s Pearl Pub, then caught a cabaret singer and jumped into a little trivia for fun. We wrapped it all up with a walk down the pier, taking in that ocean breeze one last time before heading back to the room to unwind.

Not a bad way to close this trip out. 🌊

Day 6 🇧🇸

We started the morning with a breakfast buffet before heading out—shuttle to Paradise Island, then a ferry over to Blue Lagoon Island. The island was unreal—clear water, palm trees, food trucks, and bars.

We spent some time relaxing in the sun before grabbing lunch, then had one of the most unique experiences of the trip—swimming with a sea lion named Charlotte. She’s 14 years old, just under 200 lbs, and knows over 150 commands. Watching her interact and actually getting in the water with her was something we won’t forget.

After that, we watched dolphins swimming and then got in the lagoon ourselves. The water was completely clear with schools of fish all around. We floated for a while and found a shallow spot that felt like bath water—perfect way to just slow things down.

We dried off in the sun, took it all in one last time, then headed back to the resort.

That night we cleaned up for hibachi, picked up some gifts for the kids, and caught live steel drums followed by a Bahamian band. Ended the night with sushi and some time on the balcony overlooking the ocean while a Junkanoo band played in the distance.

Another perfect day.

Day 5… and the reason for this entire trip — our 10-year anniversary. ❤️

We started the morning with an incredible breakfast — poached eggs with corned beef hash and a lobster omelet that was just as good as it sounds.

We headed back out to the private island, and for a little while it looked like the weather had other plans. A quick rainstorm rolled through, but just as fast as it came, it cleared out… and left us with calm water and no wind. Honestly, it made the island feel even more peaceful.

After heading back, we grabbed lunch at Calico — I decided to try two different options. I had a spiced beef burger topped with plantains and island slaw then a brisket wrap with rum glazed onions and garlic aioli.

When we got back to the room to relax and clean up, our butlers completely surprised us — the room was decorated for our anniversary and they left us a bottle of champagne waiting. That was one of those moments you don’t forget.

The night just kept getting better. Our butler met us and walked us down to a private candlelight dinner on the beach… and it was unreal. Champagne waiting, a custom menu with our names on it, the sun setting right in front of us, and even a song from our waiter. The food, the setting, everything — absolutely perfect.

We wrapped up the night at a retro music show and then finished it off with a silent disco.

10 years married… celebrated in a way we’ll never forget. 🇧🇸

Day 4 in paradise… and somehow it keeps getting better. 🌴☀️

We started the morning with a breakfast buffet before heading out to the private island—and I honestly don’t think I can fully describe how incredible it was. The water was crystal clear and completely calm, the kind of unreal blue you usually only see in pictures.

As soon as we got off the boat, we made our way to the eastern point of the island and found an isolated cabana. It felt like we had the entire place to ourselves—no land in sight, just endless, unobstructed ocean. Absolute peace.

Since it was a little windy on that side, we moved over to the southern beach, which was perfectly sheltered. This was the textbook island experience—hot sun, calm water, and that soft tropical breeze. There were chickens (and even a little chick) wandering behind us, and the water was so clear I could stand chest-deep and still see my feet like it was nothing.

Lunch on the island was just as amazing—whole snapper, a smash burger, and conch fritters. Then back to the beach with piña coladas and dirty bananas in hand.

Around 3, we took the boat back to the resort, cleaned up, and headed to a cocktail hour with the butlers where we played a few games. After that, we kicked things off with sushi and appetizers—spring rolls and edamame—before heading to dinner at Gordon’s on the pier where we watched the sunset.

We wrapped up the night at East Bay listening to a violin during “Melodies Under the Stars,” then finished things off the best way possible—back in our swimsuits, relaxing in the hot tub before bed.

Just an unreal day from start to finish.
