As a truck driver, there are several ways to increase your earnings beyond your base pay. Here are a few tips:

1️⃣ Choose your routes wisely: Different states have different pay rates. Truck drivers in Alaska, Nevada, and North Dakota tend to earn more than drivers in other states.

2️⃣ Look for high-demand loads that require specialized equipment or hazardous materials. You can also look for loads that require expedited delivery, as these often come with higher rates.

3️⃣ Minimize stops: The more stops you make, the longer your journey will take and the lower your earnings will be.

4️⃣ Keep your expenses low: Look for ways to reduce your fuel costs, such as by using fuel-saving techniques like cruising at a consistent speed, avoiding idling, and taking advantage of truck stop rewards programs.

5️⃣ Improve your skills: The more skills you have as a driver, the more valuable you'll be to your employer. Consider getting additional certifications, which can open up new opportunities and higher-paying loads.

Truck safety technology refers to the various systems and features installed in trucks to enhance their safety while in operation. Some examples include:

1. Anti-lock Braking System (ABS): helps prevent skidding and loss of control during sudden braking.

2. Electronic Stability control (ESC): improves the stability of the truck and helps the driver maintain control in dangerous driving conditions.

3. Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS): alerts the driver if the truck is about to depart from its lane.

4. Blind Spot Detection System (BSDS): helps the driver detect vehicles in the truck's blind spots and avoid collisions.

5. Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC): automatically maintains a safe following distance from the vehicle in front of the truck.

6. Backup cameras and sensors: assist the driver while reversing the truck.

7. Telematics systems: track the truck's location and performance, and provide real-time data to optimize efficiency and safety.

These technologies have helped improve truck safety, reduce accidents and fatalities, and enhance the overall driving experience for truck drivers.

Every owner of diesel-powered vehicle has heard about DEF. What is it?

Diesel Exhaust Fluid is a combination of urea and deionized water and is usually used for prevention of dangerous gases production. This fluid is a valuable substance used in nearly every diesel engine.

How to calculate the ammount of DEF you need? Generally, it's 1 gallon of DEF for every 200 gallons of fuel you use.

Remember that you should never let the DEF empty completely because if you do, your engine ot equipment system will simply not start.
