How time flies! September marks 18 years of DRS. 🎉

We were looking through old photos and reflecting on how much has changed over the years. New faces, new projects, and new ways of approaching our work. But some things haven’t changed: helping clients solve problems, making spaces feel like home, and connecting with colleagues at the annual conference.

We’re looking forward to creating even more memories at the upcoming - The perfect way to kick off our 19th year. Here’s to the next chapter!

Fragile items don’t scare a seasoned packing team. Each piece gets wrapped by hand, one at a time. Some days that means moving a little slower and taking extra care. We build that into the plan because they’re more than just “stuff,” they’re pieces of someone’s home that should arrive in one piece, exactly as they left.

Really. The linen closet is one of our favorite spots to start the downsizing process. A lot of it is simple: if you aren’t moving the guest bed, you won’t need the sheets for it. Many are low-stakes items, like the stockpile of cleaning rags that are tattered and rarely-used. And do you need 20 pillowcases to outfit one bed? Go through this area asking yourself not “if I could use it,” but “do I use it enough to warrant the space it takes up.” Tackling one area like this will build momentum to carry you through the rest of the house.

Moving items to storage? No problem. We make sure to label both the tops and the sides of boxes so it’s easy to find what you’re looking for. If you need access to something right away, we’ll make sure the movers put it in the front of the unit. Move managers are used to handling all these details and more.
