🍽️ 21 restaurants. 5 short nights. We managed to try 13 of them. 😂

One of the BIG perks of staying at Sandals Barbados or Sandals Royal Barbados is having the dining options of BOTH resorts right next door!

Here’s what we actually tried:

🔥 Kimonos — SO much fun! We had reservations here our second night. It was a great way to meet other couples, and the food was sooo good. Definitely one I’d do again!

🇫🇷 La Parisienne — Is all French food that good?! If so… France, here I come. 😂 And being up on the rooftop meant AMAZING views of the island!

🌊 Schooners — Breakfast looking out at the beach. Can't beat it.

🔥 Jerk Shack — A MUST for an easy, quick lunch.

☕ Café de Paris — EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. 😂 Coffee is always part of my morning routine.

🍩 American Tavern — Easy breakfast buffet, but the Bajan donuts were SO good.

🥩 Butch’s Steak & Seafood on the Royal side — Good, but honestly didn't blow my socks off. We couldn't get a reservation at Butch's on the Sandals side, so luckily we were able to get into one of them!

🌊 Neptune’s — Great food! Service during our visit… not so much.

🍕 Dino’s Pizza + Mariner — Perfect easy pool or beach-day lunches.

🥢 Chi — Just okay for me. With a shellfish intolerance, I had a hard time finding something I wanted/could eat, so I probably wouldn't choose this one again.

🍩 Sweet n’ Salty’s — Donuts + coffee because apparently Café de Paris every day wasn't enough. 😂

🍸 Merry Monkey Pub — We didn't eat here, BUT it had the BEST espresso and chocolate martinis. So yes, we still conducted important research. 🤣

We wanted to try Portofino’s, but the wait was always LONG.

📱 DINING TIP: Reservations were super easy through the Sandals app! We could book one before arriving and the rest after check-in. During our stay, Kimonos, La Parisienne and both Butch’s locations required reservations.

Food is SO subjective, but overall we enjoyed almost everything we tried — and 13 restaurants in 5 nights isn't too shabby! 😂

Next stop on my Barbados resort tours: Sea Breeze Beach House! 🌴

This one felt like a great option for families or couples wanting a smaller, relaxed all-inclusive without needing nonstop entertainment.

I toured a two-bedroom suite, checked out the Rum Shop and oceanfront dining, and loved the added touches for families like the water trampoline and water hammocks. 🌊

One thing to know: Sea Breeze is on the south coast, so the beach can look different throughout the year. November/December are when you can really get that gorgeous clear Caribbean water!

My take: relaxed, updated, family-friendly and a resort I’d absolutely consider for the right client. 💙

🌴 Sandals Barbados vs. Sandals Royal Barbados: THE VIBE

We stayed on the Sandals Barbados side, and while it was beautiful and peaceful… we somehow found ourselves over at Royal Barbados every single day. 😂

The biggest difference for us? The atmosphere.

💙 Sandals Barbados was QUIET. The pools were perfect for reading a book, taking a poolside nap, floating around or just doing absolutely nothing.

🩷 Royal Barbados had a little more going on. The infinity pool usually had music, games or daytime entertainment, and the pool with the swim-up bar had DJs.

BUT even Royal had quiet spots! The rooftop pool was BEAUTIFUL with incredible views. During our stay it was incredibly peaceful — at one point Zach and I were literally the only guests up there besides the bartenders. 😍 Of course, we traveled during a quieter time of year, so the atmosphere can definitely look different during busier months.

I still wouldn't classify either resort as a big party resort.

Zach and I actually agreed this would be such a fun place for 2–3 couples traveling together — drinks, music, pool days, dinners and time with friends without needing that huge party-resort atmosphere.

That was probably my favorite part about having both resorts:

Want quiet? You can find it.
Want a little more energy? You can find that too. 🌴

🌴 RESORT SPOTLIGHT: Sugar Bay Barbados 🇧🇧

One of my favorite parts of traveling as a Travel Advisor is getting to actually walk the resorts I recommend — seeing the rooms, pools, restaurants, kids areas and beaches for myself.

Sugar Bay Barbados is a smaller, family-owned all-inclusive with a laid-back, intimate feel. I especially loved hearing some of the history behind the resort, including Colin’s Restaurant being named after their very first employee. 🥹

This one isn’t about huge waterparks or nonstop entertainment. It’s more for families, couples or friends who want a smaller resort, a beautiful beach and a relaxed Barbados getaway. 🌴

And while I didn't get to experience Blush Café myself, I HAD to include it because… how cute is it?! 💕☕️

And surprisingly… I’m not even sad to leave.

Not because Barbados wasn’t amazing — because it absolutely was. 🌴 But I’m ready to get home, hug my girls, and the best part?

Our next adventure is only 68 days away… and THAT one the kids get to come with us! 🥹✈️🌴

Don’t worry, guys… I found not only ONE, but TWO Christmas ornaments last night. 🎄🇧🇧😂

Mission accomplished. I guess we can head home tomorrow now. 😢

Ready to see my girls though! ❤️ So grateful we have family who loves them and takes such good care of them so Mommy & Daddy can sneak away for a few days. 🥰
