We would like to thank all of our clients for all your support, generosity and well wishes for Sam as he continues to heal from his fall. We can’t say “thank you” enough for your understanding as we adjust to a temporary routine, and are catching up from appointments we had to reschedule. We are back to work. Yay! And can’t wait to see you all soon

Wow! I can’t believe it’s been five years. 5! Since we started our small mobile grooming business. So much has happened in these past few years. We are very successful since starting out. When we began, it was during the Covid pandemic. Everyone was stuck at home. Money was tight but we had dreams. We were denied a loan so we depleted our savings to buy a trailer and built it from scratch. Sam is very talented with his buliding skills. There’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes. He also became a certified bather/brusher, problem solves routing, reviews expenses and inventory, continues to troubleshoot anything that shuts down, allowing me to continue grooming without interuption or delay. It was very scary in the beginning not knowing if we could get any business and live on that income. I still kept my old job part time just in case. But we started to grow, and grow, and now have a new client waiting list a year or so long for certain areas. During these five years, we’ve had some ups and downs, but mostly ups. There’s the occasional frozen water pipes, broken water pump, flat tire, borrowed electrical outlet to name a few. But for the most part, everything runs smoothly and we have a luxury mobile grooming salon on wheels to provide top of the line services. I have also advanced my certification during this time as a certified Advanced Professional Groomer, and continue to learn new and trending grooming skills by attending seminars, safety, CPR training and dog shows. Most importantly, thank you to all who have used our services and grown with us on this journey. It is a pleasure to be a part of your pet’s life. 🐾❤️

Here’s a winter tip: It’s especially important during snow season to have the hair trimmed on the paw pads. Imagine this. Take an ice cube out of your freezer and squeeze it while reading this. (Pause) It’s fun to see your dog go outside and play in the snow. Sometimes you can lose track of time when having fun. Ten minutes turn into thirty or more. During this time, the fur will stick to snow, turning into ice on the bottom of paw pads. We all know that dogs cannot sweat or regulate heat or cold through their skin. They rely on panting in hot weather in order to sweat. They also depend on their paw pads to do the same, and to mark their territory. By the time you notice your dog licking and chewing at the frozen snow on the bottom of their paws, damage may have already set in. Yes, dogs get frostbite too. We often think they need all the hair possible during winter, but the fur on the paw pads can trap in snow and ice and block the ability to regulate temperature. A quick sanitary trim will help prevent this. Booties or shoes are also helpful on really cold days in addition to trimming. Now, it’s okay to let go of that ice cube and ask us about winter grooming (picture of a nicely trimmed paw pad for reference)

We possibly will be going live tomorrow at the end of our day. I’ve never done a video before, so it’ll be fun. I’m going to have a quick tour on our mobile salon
Edit: we need to postpone to a later date

Good news! Since our generator quit on us…again, we have decided to switch over to battery power and are currently trying it out for the first time. There will be some trial and error during this time as we learn how it all works. We may also need to plug into an outlet (something we’ve only done during emergencies) periodically until we figure out how long our battery power will last. So far, I’m able to run my force dryer, lights and air conditioning all at once. Yay! And it is so quiet! I can hear crickets lol
