New Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio - SWACO
RECYCLING CONVENIENCE CENTER OPEN IN WORTHINGTON
On Friday, officials from SWACO and the City of Worthington officially opened a new Recycling Convenience Center to accept many harder-to-recycle items such as electronics, Styrofoam, car batteries, anti-freeze and motor oil, and food scraps in order to keep these items out of the landfill and our waterways
WHERE: At the Worthington Service and Engineering Building at 380 Highland Ave (behind Worthington's community center).
ADDITIONAL INFO: The new Worthington Recycling Convenience Center was made possible in part through a grant from SWACO. Seventy-six percent of what comes to the Franklin County Landfill could have been reused, recycled, or composted, including one million pounds of food waste each day. Increased recycling efforts will help prolong the life of the landfill which is a community asset that all of Franklin County relies on.
