Military equipment moves require a different level of planning, coordination, and attention to detail.
Titan Worldwide Logistics transported an AAVP7A1 RAM RS Tactical Landing Vehicle from a U.S. Marine Corps installation in Gatesville, TX to a U.S. Marine Corps facility in Galveston, TX as part of a marine equipment disposition project.
The vehicle measured 26.9 feet long, 12.4 feet wide, and 12.4 feet tall, weighing 55,740 pounds. Due to its dimensions, the shipment required oversize load permits, route planning, and specialized transport coordination throughout Texas.
An RGN lowboy trailer was used to safely accommodate the vehicle while maintaining proper weight distribution and securement. From loading through delivery, the focus remained on compliance, safety, and communication to ensure a smooth move between facilities.
The project was coordinated for a company that specializes in government, defense, and military logistics support. Transporting tactical equipment requires experience with specialized trucking, regulatory requirements, and secure handling procedures from start to finish.
Whether it's construction equipment, industrial machinery, or military vehicles, every heavy haul shipment comes with its own unique challenges. This one was another successful move completed across the Lone Star State.
