Okay, this is SUCH exciting news for North Texas families! 🎉 Universal Kids Resort officially opens July 1, and tickets went on sale today!

As someone who works in travel AND lives locally, I’m honestly so excited to see a major theme park designed specifically with younger kids in mind right here in our area. 💙

This park is especially ideal for families with children ages 3–9, with attractions and experiences created for younger adventurers — but it’s definitely not just for little kids. There will still be plenty for the whole family to enjoy together!

I think this is going to become such a fun option for weekend getaways, birthdays, staycations, and first theme park memories. ✨

If you’ve been curious about it, now is the time to start planning because opening season is going to be BUSY!

Better resort and room availability (especially for my larger families)

You can spread out your payments over a longer time. Ya know, so there’s less sticker shock 🤪

Lots of time to plan out your dining choices and park days

And obviously so you can have your next Disney trip planned.

$169 per night Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside
$249 per night Disney's Art of Animation Resort

Hey y'all! I realized it's been a while since I've properly introduced myself around here, so let's fix that. 👋

I'm a mom of 4, I homeschool, and I love Jesus, my family, Disney, cruises, and a good all-inclusive resort. I've been in the travel industry for almost 13 years and have been running Dream Big Destinations since 2017 (which my husband actually founded and he's the one behind the scenes these days).

Fun fact: I'm a former Disney Cast Member. I did the WDW College Program and my husband proposed to me at Cinderella's Royal Table inside the castle, so you could say Disney has always been a big part of our story. 🏰💍

When I'm not planning trips for amazing families and adventurers, you'll find me deep in Disney research, dreaming about my next cruise, scoping out the best all-inclusive resorts (you know, for work 😄), or reading a good mystery book.

I started this page because I wanted a place to share the trips, tips, and destinations that genuinely excite me. No fluff, just real talk from someone who lives and breathes travel.
