These are my personal opinions. Let me know what you would add to the list.
There is so much to do and so little time to do it. As your travel advisor, I would only suggest a 3 night cruise for first timers.
They may not remember it but you definitely will. My kiddo said this is the best trip of her life, and she has been quite a few places.
I was a little nervous to allow myself this luxury, but I don’t regret a thing. I got some much needed relaxation, and she had a blast. And we were back together by lunch to enjoy the rest of the day together.
Hear me out… the Mickey churro waffles are yummy. But I tried something new and went to the dining room for breakfast and enjoyed it much better. It was a quiet, non rushed meal but also didn’t take too long. I highly recommend sitting down for breakfast in the dining room, at least once.
I love Castaway Cay, but Disney’s Lookout Cay is quickly moving up on my list. Maybe pick an itinerary that includes both so you can make the decision for yourself.
My expectations and my 4 year old’s were very different. Once I let go of mine and let her vibe, lead the way, the trip went much smoother. I like to meet all the characters, (yes, I know. 🫣) She did not. So instead of forcing her, I asked what she wanted to do. You don’t have to do everything onboard. Prioritize what is important to you and your family.
Magnets were still all over, but this was much easier and stress free for me. Took up not much room and was quick and easy to take down, so it didn’t cut into fun time. Obviously a door decoration isn’t necessity, but it does give you a little extra magic and make it a little extra fun.
I highly recommend this, especially if you are on a 3 night cruise. I didn’t need to see The Bahamas for the 10th time. So, we took it slow, enjoyed the ship and had a great time.
