As you may remember - I worked with World Expeditions last year to host a tour in Nepal to celebrate their 50 years of operating in Nepal. They have an incredible team/organization there on the ground in Nepal and I was so thrilled to meet them all. As you know - the flash flood there was devastating and it has saddened me to see of of the footage and think about all of the lives lost and destruction. If you'd like to help - World Expeditions is organizing fundraising to assist their locally.

World Expeditions Foundation is launching its appeal for communities affected by a devastating flash flood in Nepal's Rasuwa district, near the Tibet border, with the fundraiser nearing its AU$30,000 target on day one. All World Expeditions clients and staff currently travelling in Nepal have been confirmed safe.

"We are humbled by the response from travellers who deeply care about and want to support the Nepali community," said World Expeditions CEO Sue Badyari. "The images coming out of Nepal are truly devastating, and our hearts are with everyone who has been affected by this tragic event. Nepal is a country we have worked in for many decades and have a deep connection with, so seeing the devastation caused by this event is particularly distressing."

"Our thoughts remain firmly with the people of Nepal as they begin what will undoubtedly be a long recovery, and we encourage anyone who would like to support the affected communities to consider contributing."
