I grew up in Little Rock, Arkansas where my love of art began. I started out painting on the floor of the garage anytime I got the chance—usually the moment I had enough money to buy a new canvas. Louis and with less time and resources available, I naturally made a shift to photography. Photography has taken me to nineteen countries and counting, heavily shaping my view and understanding of life.
It has a special place in my heart, and I will always appreciate where it took me and the things it allowed me to capture. However, after several years, I could no longer ignore the calling back to my roots of paint, charcoal, and ink. This led me to what is now Studio Busbey; located in the heart of downtown St. Louis and delivering anywhere lovers of art can be found. I specialize in custom artwork but have a working inventory of paintings that can be found in the blog and project sections of this website. Examples of custom work cover everything from pastel creations for kids’ rooms, to sports paintings for man caves, to large works for businesses and offices.
