Happiest of birthdays to the most beautiful soul I’ve ever been touched by! Never has there been a more loving, considerate, thoughtful, patient woman. I still can’t figure out what I did to deserve this lady in a past life, but it must’ve been pretty darn epic! Not to mention, who looks this good at the end of a full day of travel to Hawaii?! If this is a dream, no one better pinch me or I’m ending them!

Miter saw station build for my buddies shop is coming along nicely. Built the drawers that will go above the left side of the fence for blade, wrench, other saw accessory storage tonight. Peg board power tool storage will go above the drawers, battery charging stations on top of miter box and fastener organizers, and I’m feeling some shelves and cabinet doors for lower right section tomorrow. Dust collection is already plumbed in and working great!

Over the winter I did some work for a gentleman from Vienna who was so pleased with the outcome that he ran out of the room and came back a moment later with a 2x4x6” piece of wood in his hand. As soon as he handed it to me I knew it was special and very very very old. Turns out it was a piece of old growth Brazilian Rosewood from the Amazon, harvested over 100yrs ago, from a tree estimated to predate Columbus. It’s such a beautiful, rare, sweet smelling piece of wood that I haven’t been able to bring myself to use more than a few tiny pieces... but the offcut from a straight razor project was the perfect size for this SOG Instinct Mini... what do y’all think? @ Eagle, Idaho

My Duluth firehose flex burly cargo work pants were supposed to be tougher than an angry brood of beavers, but they ain’t got s**t on my chisel that lost its protective plastic cap in my apron, cut through 3 layers of canvas before shredding my favorite pair of pants. Good thing my Duluth shorts corralled the blade before it cut anything else 😖 Duluth product puns aside, in case y’all didn’t know already; if it’s got an edge and it belongs to me, you should assume it’s basically a scalpel. I wonder if this kind of thing is covered under warranty... 🤔

Hey I guess this means an angry brood of beavers isn’t all that tough after all, maybe my cutting tools should be your new benchmark!

Jury is still out on the blue, let me know what you think in the comments... leave it as is, get rid of the blue, or something else entirely? I’d sure appreciate your feedback! Color scheme aside, I’m very happy with the fit and feel of the handle, and the Helle GT blade is of course totally amazing!! It even throws well in a pinch.
