It's about that time of year where I start shamelessly promoting and nagging y'all for your donations for the Cigar Box Guitar Fest Northwest.Right now we're shooting for June 6th.. So...first of all a big shoutout to Greg's Box Guitars for almost singlehandedly funding the fest last year with his massive donation last year. I challenge anybody to match that .I think he gave us 6..So ….,stuff we need....Massive amounts of canjo's and diddleys for the kids.CBG's for raffle, CASH,,Shirts,slides or anything for performer swags bags.......We like the players to feel extra special because they are...Ben Rice Jerry Zybach ,Jason Farthing,Soapbox Joe, Cash O'Riley Matt Downs ,Trevor Lloyd…..This is our 6th year and it is just so cool that this has been all funded by you.....Thanks so much,y'all...This is such a joy in my life,preciate the help in makin it happen.

Just getting ready to go do my CBG presentation tonight for a group of folks at the retirement community. Big thanks to Bill Jehle and his book Ones Man”s Trash For providing me invaluable information about the history of cigar box guitars .I think I did more studying about history this week then I may have ever. I learned a lot. I will be bringing about 10 guitars to show them as well.I will be bringing guitars from Darren Brown,Jason Mills,Reeds Taylor,,Clif Rice,Backporch Banjos,And Greg's Box Guitars.I I am also inviting Greg To assist in my presentation with a little excerpt on how to build cigarbox guitars. It should be a lot of fun. Not to mention I get to eat steak.
