📢 Important LIHEAP Update

We have received notification from the Tennessee Housing Development Agency (THDA) that all LIHEAP applications for the new program year will be placed on a waiting list until further notice.

✅ Applications are still being accepted.
However, applications will remain on the waiting list until funding becomes available. Once funding is available, applications will be processed as soon as possible according to LIHEAP program guidelines and priority requirements.

⚠️ This applies to all new applications, including crisis applications, and may result in longer processing times.

We understand that many households depend on this assistance and appreciate your patience as we work within the guidance provided by THDA. We will share additional information as it becomes available.

📢 LIHEAP UPDATE

We’ve received several calls from customers asking about recent emails regarding an additional LIHEAP payment.

✅ These emails are legitimate. If you received an email stating that an additional LIHEAP payment is being sent to your utility account, no action is needed unless you have questions.

Receiving this additional payment will not affect your eligibility to apply for LIHEAP again during the new program year, which begins Thursday, October 1.

If you have questions about the email or your account, please contact your local Neighborhood Service Center (NSC).
