I remember begging for my mom to let me do this 20+ years ago. I watched a few friends get to go and remember being such an ass cause I couldn’t. Recently I got an opportunity to take the plunge and I’m really glad I did. gave me the feeling of soaring with the birds. I even got up close and personal with a helicopter. While I was up there I got to think about how lucky I am my mommy loved and still loves me. When I was a kid I didn’t see things as clear as I wished I would have. I’m just glad I take and make more moments now to curate and experience an illustrious life. Take the moments, make them count.

Winter strips things down.
Not just the branches
or the grass burned flat by frost

but the noise.
The excess.
The excuses.

Days really shorten. Light leaves early.
Cold takes your breath.
And what remains is what matters.

Say what you mean.
Show up when it’s inconvenient.
Hold a little longer.
Put the phone down.
Stand where your feet are.

Love isn’t seasonal.
Later is not guaranteed.

If this winter feels heavy, let it be honest.
Let it slow you. Let is slow us all
Let it teach you presence.

Notice where your mind goes when everything gets quiet.

You won’t run full throttle the whole way
you’ll burn up.
Feel your limits. Respect the road.
Look out in front! That’s where it all comes together.

Most never see it
too busy watching what’s behind.
But out there.
That’s where the difference is made.
Not every lap can be perfect.
But you can’t try.


After all the, only thing left is a body moving through space and time. And the only thing that matters is… WHO YOU ARE.

Struggle made me tough. Surrender made me dangerous… In a peaceful, warrior in a garden smelling the flowers kinda way.

Learning that the universe meets you at the depth of your surrender, not at the height of your struggle, has been one of my greatest takeaways yet. Which is annoying… because I got pretty good at struggling.

Older I get the more I realize surrender isn’t giving up, it’s giving in to what’s already been, trying to work with you.

It’s not weakness, it’s clarity.
Surrender doesn’t have to be defeat.
It can be direction, alignment, and a quiet agreement with what’s bigger than you. Don’t get it twisted. I still got that dog in me.

Life is full of ups and downs, but the secret is in the perspective. Even when challenges arise, there’s always something to be grateful for. Keep your gaze upward, focus on your blessings, and trust the journey. Each day is a chance to grow, a chance to rise, and a chance to keep moving forward.

Been hands on the wheel. Never took my eyes off the road I’ve been on. Even when I went off road. Still had my eyes on where I was goin. Spatial awareness. They’re still saying this ain’t fair. I no longer beg to differ. Still choosing the road less traveled cause this mission is bigger.
