The 13 mile road walk from Oppdal to Gjevilvasshytta shows of a bit of the Norwegian countryside along the way. And the hut? The hut is wonderful.

This "hut" is a full-service lodge. Not as swank as a lodge you might find in a U.S. National Park, but it offers legit food, a shower, a bed, and more.

Norway!

Today was all about getting to the trail, and I had to be content to see the gorgeous countryside through a train window. But tomorrow I go to Gjevilvasshytta, which will be the beginning and end point of my ~95 mile circuit of the Trollheimen SignaTUR route. ("trollheimen" means "home of trolls;" I'll be keeping my eyes peeled.)

We had a great time on our second annual "Guys' Hike" with New Harvest Assembly of God at the Red River Gorge Geological Area. The weather was perfect, even with a little overnight rain. These guys did great hiking a total of about sixteen miles!
