One thing about having a Bariatric surgery (I had the Roux-en-y), is due to the amount of weight you loose in such a quick time, it can affect your hormones. You can imagine a post menopausal women having fluctuating hormones is a bag of fun… Not! Some days it is really hard to control my emotions. Today is no different. I am writing this blog to help people understand the things that go on and happen with Bariatric surgery before and after. I am NOT a physician, nor do I claim to be one. THAT BEING SAID, if you have any questions, I am asking you to refer them to your own physician. I cannot go by my personal experience and what my physician and/or nutritionist is telling me for said experience. You know, early on in this journey I am finding the one thing you can guarantee along with weight loss is your skin changes. I’m not just talking about loose belly skin, but the texture, and around other areas such as your face or neck. Not real sure what I am doing here, can you tell? I mainly wanted to use this site/blog as a place for me to express myself, and hopefully to help others either in the process or even thinking about the process. I will give you some advise, if you think surgery is the easy way out, THINK AGAIN. This was one of the hardest things I have had to do, mentally, physically and emotionally....
