Natures Glory Cabin

Natures Glory Cabin Off roading in the Red River Gorge area along with birding, hiking and some cabin stuff This is our 2nd home where we stay as often as we can.

We are the owners of Nature's Glory cabin located at Indian Creek Resort in Frenchburg, KY, nestled just outside of Red River Gorge. We are from central Kentucky but hadn't been to Red River Gorge for years until COVID forced us to stay in state. We started going to Red River Gorge for day trips in October 2020 and couldn't believe what we had been missing. Before that, when we wanted something cl

ose to home we went to Gatlinburg, TN. After coming to Red River Gorge we knew we had missed out on a gem close to home and couldn't believe we hadn't come here sooner. We started renting cabins in the area in January 2021 and in March decided to buy a cabin so we could come as often as possible. We were very lucky to purchase Nature's Glory in May 2021 from the original builder who was using it as their family getaway. We are thrilled to own Nature's Glory and wish this could be our primary residence. This is certainly our happy place. Coming here is like being in a different world, all the stress from everyday life just disappears. The views are absolutely spectacular and every day is different. Unfortunately, we can't be at Nature's Glory cabin all the time so we have chosen to rent our cabin, letting others enjoy the tranquility and natural beauty of the area. We use redrivergorgecabinrentals.com to rent and manage our property when we are not there. Please go to their website for rental information.

Finally finishing clearing the downed tree blocking the exit of Clifton Rd onto Kendrick Ridge Rd. This took us about an hour today. We were here, knew about it and wanted to get it cleared before the weekend when lots of people use these trails. Again. we stongly advise you to carry a gas powered chainsaw and be ready to use it if you are offroading. We only cleared this downed tree and did not go through Clifton Rd today so we can't say whether or not there are other downed trees on this trail. There has been a lot of rain and wind in the past few days so it is possible this trail or others in the area have large downed trees.

After Mark got the tree cut on each side of the Clifton Rd exit he decided to use our winch to move the trunk off the trail. This was the easiest and quickest way to move the trunk from the trail since it was just the 2 of us.

Here's Mark cutting out the downed tree that was blocking the exit of Clifton Rd at Kendrick Ridge Road today.

Dianetemplin Gross messaged us yesterday that a tree was down at the Kendrick Ridge Rd end of Clifton Rd that was blocking the trail. We drove over to check it out this afternoon and here is what we found. This tree had been uprooted and was blocking the trail exit. We have been in this situation many times on trails and why we always carry a gas powered chainsaw. Most battery powered chainsaws could not deal with a tree this large. Mark got the chainsaw out of the Jeep and got to work cutting up the tree.
