🛳️ LET’S TALK SHORE EXCURSIONS! 🌴☀️

One of the questions I hear from cruisers is: “Should I book my excursions through the cruise line, or can I book them on my own?”

The answer? Both can be great options! 🙌

Booking through the cruise line gives you that extra peace of mind—especially in unfamiliar ports or on longer excursions. If your cruise-sponsored tour runs late, the cruise line knows where you are and will make arrangements for you. 🛳️

Booking independently can often mean lower prices, smaller groups, more choices, and a more personalized experience. You can even skip the organized tour altogether and explore the port on your own! 🌴

⚠️ The biggest thing to remember: the ship does not wait for independent travelers who are late! Always give yourself plenty of time to get back onboard.

✨ My recommendation: Mix and match! Book through the cruise line when the timing is tight, the excursion travels far from port, or you're not comfortable navigating the destination. Consider independent excursions when you have plenty of time and are comfortable with the port and tour operator.

✈️🌴 A LITTLE UPDATE FROM LAKES TO LUXURY TRAVEL! 🌴✈️

You may have noticed I’ve been a little quieter on this page over the summer, and I wanted to pop in with an update! 💙

Life has been BUSY in the best way. Between working, running my businesses, and preparing to open my new storefront, Lakes To Luxe Deals in Garner, Iowa, I had to take a little step back from posting here while I got everything situated.

But I want to reassure everyone — Lakes To Luxury Travel is still here, I am still booking vacations, and I am officially ready to jump back in! ✈️🏝️🚢
