A little over a month into retirement, and I have to admit…my husband may have been right. 😂
Apparently, “retirement” and “sitting still” were never really going to work for me!
But here’s what I’ve discovered: I didn’t retire because I wanted to stop working. I retired because I wanted to stop working 40+ hours a week and start being in control of my time. ❤️
So, I’m excited to share what’s next!
I’ve officially created Latitude and Logic Services Inc., a new company that gives me a home for the things I genuinely enjoy—travel planning, project management, consulting, and continuous improvement.
Bays & Beyond Travel Planning isn’t going anywhere! ✈️🌴 It will continue as the travel side of my business, helping others make lifelong memories, one itinerary at a time.
But the biggest change in this next chapter is freedom.
Freedom to work on projects I enjoy without living by a 40+ hour workweek.
Freedom to control my schedule instead of having my schedule control me.
Freedom to say yes to a trip, a family day, an afternoon with my husband, or absolutely nothing at all. ❤️
And most importantly, freedom to make my own travel and time with family a priority while still doing work that challenges me, keeps me engaged, and brings me joy.
After nearly 40 years in the automotive industry, I’m learning that retirement doesn’t have to mean stopping. It means having the freedom to choose what comes next—and doing it on your own terms.
So here’s to a new chapter filled with travel, family, purpose, flexibility, and…work that fits into my life instead of my life fitting around work. ✈️🌎❤️
And yes, just enough to keep my husband saying,
“I told you so.” 😂
