So Today is my own heartfelt moment
There will be no passenger of the day or food stop of the today.
Because I will Not be running “Lyft” or Trife’s Mobility Group today because I will be happily celebrating my son Isaac 19th Birthday today.
I’m sorry to whomever this may inconvenience but parenting is definitely about your presence.
Will be running strong again 1st thing tomorrow

Had a passenger a while back who went here with a group of friends and also a worker as well. Never noticed it because it’s in the rear of the plaza and with that said everyone I have spoken to about this place has nothing but amazing things to say…. Random fact about kindness

Did you know there was a time when welcoming a stranger into your home was considered a sacred duty? In ancient Greece, this tradition was known as xenia, or "guest-friendship," and it played an important role in everyday life as well as Greek mythology.

Travel in the ancient world was often difficult and risky, with no hotels or modern places to stay. Because of this, travelers depended on the kindness of others. Under the rules of xenia, hosts were expected to welcome visitors, offer them a bath, clean clothes, food, and wine before even asking their name or the reason for their journey. Only after making the guest comfortable would questions be asked.

This tradition was more than good manners. It was also a religious responsibility. The Greeks believed that Zeus Xenios, a title of Zeus as the protector of strangers and guests, watched over acts of hospitality. They also believed in theoxenia, the idea that gods could appear in disguise as ordinary travelers to test people's kindness.

The importance of xenia even appears in the story of the Trojan War. According to Greek mythology, Paris violated the sacred bond of hospitality after being welcomed by King Menelaus in Sparta. This breach of trust became one of the key mythological reasons behind the conflict.

The tradition of xenia reminds us that kindness, respect, and generosity toward others have been valued for thousands of years and continue to inspire people across generations.

Much respect

What would you do if your car stopped working the night before your first day at a new job? For one young student, giving up was never an option. His determination turned an ordinary workday into a story that continues to inspire people around the world.

In July 2018, Walter Carr, a 20-year-old student from Birmingham, Alabama, had just secured a job with the moving company Bellhops. The night before he was due to start, his car broke down. With no other way to reach work, Walter decided to walk 20 miles through the night so he would not miss his first day.

Around 4:00 AM, police officers noticed him walking along the road. After learning why he was making the journey, they treated him to breakfast and drove him the rest of the way to his first assignment. Walter still arrived ready to work, impressing both the officers and the customer he was helping.

The customer, Jenny Lamey, shared Walter's story on Facebook, where it quickly reached thousands of people. It eventually caught the attention of Bellhops CEO Luke Marklin, who traveled to meet Walter and surprised him with the keys to his own 2014 Ford Escape SUV.

Walter's inspiring journey also encouraged the community to support him through a fundraising campaign that collected more than $90,000, helping him continue his college education. His story is a powerful reminder that determination, honesty, and hard work can open unexpected doors.

Every day, I'm reminded why I love my job. I truly can't believe how fortunate I am to have the opportunity to make a difference in people's lives.

Today, I want to take a moment to recognize three extraordinary men who all share one thing in common—they are exceptional fathers.

I've had the privilege of helping these men either make the commute to spend time with their children or send them off to work as they continue making sacrifices to provide for their families. Watching their dedication, consistency, and love for their children has been inspiring.

Too often, good men don't receive their flowers while they're here to appreciate them. So today, I want to give these fathers the recognition they deserve.

Christopher Gibson, Armond Walker, and Lynn Randall—thank you for leading by example. Your children are blessed to have fathers who show up, work hard, and love them unconditionally. Your commitment does not go unnoticed, and I have nothing but admiration and respect for each of you.

Keep being the amazing dads you are. The impact you're making will be felt for generations. 💙

For a while now, I've been asking myself one
question:
What if, instead of leaving me a tip, you
helped change someone else's day?
That question became an answer the day I
met Ms. Sandra.
I took a day away from work to spend time
with her and drive her to a park that meant
the world to her. It wasn't just a park—it was
home to a tree filled with memories that she
cherished deeply. Watching her smile
reminded me that transportation isn't always
about getting from one place to another.
Sometimes it's about helping someone
reconnect with a piece of their heart.
That one ride changed me.
Because of Mrs. Sandra, I'm proud to
introduce the Pay It Forward Program
through Trife's Mobility Group LLC.
Instead of tipping me, I'm asking you to help
sponsor hope.
Each week, I'll select one person or family
facing difficult circumstances and provide
them with:
❤️ A free ride to a destination that matters to
them.
🌹 Flowers to remind them they're loved.
🍽️ A meal to share a moment of comfort.
This is about more than transportation. It's
about reminding people they haven't been
forgotten.
I believe every community is strongest when
neighbors choose compassion over
convenience. My hope is that every
passenger who rides with me knows they
have the opportunity to be part of something
bigger than themselves. Together, we can
create moments that restore hope, dignity,
and human connection.
This program is dedicated in loving memory
of the people whose lives continue to inspire
me every day:
Katrell Lynn, Chopin Berry, Grandma Betty,
Aunt Shirley, Derick Black, Raymond Battle,
Willie Dixon, Steven French, Antwan Youman,
Darrick Thomas, Arnold Allen, and Jessica
Kirby.
Their lives taught me that the greatest
wealth we can leave behind isn't money—it's
the love we show, the kindness we give, and
the lives we touch.
Cheers to their memories, and to everything
they believed in. May we honor them by
continuing to love people well.
I also want everyone to know that I will not
be providing regular transportation services
on Sundays. Sundays are dedicated to
worship, and I will continue attending One
Community Church as part of my
commitment to my faith.
After worship, I hope to use that day as an
opportunity to serve others through this
program whenever possible. If an
emergency or extraordinary circumstance
arises, you're welcome to reach out. I can't
promise a ride every time, but I can promise
I'll always consider how I can help.
Life can be hard.
But I refuse to believe kindness is gone.
If you've ever ridden with me, supported my
business, prayed for me, encouraged me, or
simply believed in what I'm building, thank
you.
Now let's build something even greater—one
ride, one blessing, and one life at a time.
