LongShot Transport LLC is growing and seeking dependable and safety-conscious Non-CDL/CDL Drivers to handle regional transport and delivery operations in Gillette, WY. Responsibilities
- Safe Operations: Safely operate transport vehicles according to DOT regulations.
- Timely Delivery: Ensure timely delivery and transport of cargo.
- Navigation: Efficiently utilize smartphone navigation (specifically Google Maps) to follow optimized routes provided by dispatch and adapt to real-time traffic updates.
- Communication: Maintain clear communication with dispatch and customers.
- Inspections & Maintenance: Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, and assist with rare shop work or light maintenance as needed.
Qualifications
- Schedule Flexibility: Ability to work an unspecified/on-call schedule, as hotshot operations do not have set hours and rely on real-time freight demands.
- Driving Record: Valid standard Driver's License with a clean driving history (MVR check required).
- Physical Ability: Must be able to safely lift and move up to 80 pounds as part of cargo handling.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable operating smartphones/tablets and highly proficient with Google Maps, as it is our primary source of routing and directions.
- Screening: Must pass a standard background check and drug screening.
- Experience: Previous commercial driving or delivery experience is a plus, but not required.
