Runway Maintenance is coming along! New sealant being applied today, and new paint and Runway numbers - 15/33 will go on tomorrow!

Airport and access to hangars will continue to be closed until Friday. ✈️

FYI all Pilots!

Attention pilots! KGWS Sumers Airpark in Glenwood Springs will be fully closed next week, August 3-7 for a major maintenance project. The improvements entail crack fill, fog seal of all surfaces, new paint and NEW Runway Numbers - 15/33. This project was made possible through a Colorado Discretionary Aviation Grant approved by the Colorado Aeronautical Board.

Great time to visit us in Glenwood! ✈️

The Aspen/Pitkin County Airport will be closed for maintenance and improvements from Thursday, April 23, 2026, at 9 a.m. through Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 7 p.m. During this time, Elk Lot parking will be unavailable due to necessary parking lot improvements. All vehicles must be removed from the Elk Lot before the closure begins. Vehicles remaining in the lot will be towed at the owner’s expense.

EL Aeropuerto Aspen/Condado de Pitkin estará cerrado por mantenimiento y mejoras desde el jueves 23 de abril, 2026 a las 9 a.m. hasta el jueves 21 de mayo, 2026 a las 7 p.m. Durante este período, el estacionamiento Elk no estará disponible debido a trabajos necesarios de mejora. Todos los vehículos deben retirarse del estacionamiento Elk antes de que comience el cierre. Los vehículos que permanezcan en el lote serán remolcados a cargo del propietario.
