Small biz collabs make my heart go :) :) :) I am so excited to hang with Kenzie at with all my scents from the summer collection!

Stop on by for your favorite brew and one (or seven) gluten free donuts from the coffee trailer and all the cozy wigs and sniffs in my candle booth!

We will be in the lakeside parking lot in glenwood, MN! She is open until 2 but I’ll start taking down around noonish, if it ends up staying busy I’ll definitely stick around.

So Yesterday Collection is out now ⛅️

This one tugs at the heart strings in many ways. Sometimes I feel myself getting so frustrated when I’ve scrolled “too much” or found myself not being in the present, thinking about the to dos…

It was easier to be in the moment years ago, we know that, we felt that.

BUT the ability to be and feel and do as we once did is still available to us.

I encourage you this summer to UNPLUG, unwind, and be in the moment as much as you possibly can. And maybe even these scents will remind you to do so 🫶🏻✨

If I cannot tell my brand’s story through human-taken photos and resort to computer generated media, I lose everything.

I lose my brand’s integrity.

I lose my leg up on corporations.

I lose customer’s trust.

It really is that deep.

I am a maker.

I am a small business owner.

I am a story teller.

I am imperfectly human and forever will my visual representations of my brand be too 💛

If my photos are faux in that way (you know what I’m talking about) , personally I feel it takes a necessary human element away from what I’m trying to do here.

If I am unable to use a real photo of my product on social or my website, what am I telling you as a customer?

So while this photoshoot turned out close to what I imagined in my head, if I had relied on a computer to put this together for me, it wouldn’t have been right at all.

Every photo set up also expands my brain in new ways, I’m not saying these photos are “perfect” but from when I started I had ZERO clue what the heck I was doing with my camera, and I have those photos to prove it.

Long story short, this So Yesterday collection has me thinking about what we truly miss about yesteryear, and personally I believe these moments are right now if you allow it to be and disconnect for a while.

Launching a brand new candle collection here in Glenwood, Minnesota this Thursday ~ this one is filled with nostalgic vibes and sunshine and I’m coining it the So Yesterday Collection ~ as a little nod to the episodes of Lizzie McGuire and Hilary Duff cd’s (track 6 always slipped) that got me through middle school.

This group is light, not so serious, and a reminder to unplug for the summer.

The scents are perfect for summer nights reading your new favorite book, listening to the radio, or trying out a new hobby 💕

Scent List + notes:

~ Front Porch Swing: bergamot slices, sweating sweet tea, butterfly garden

~ Beach Read: sun-kissed skin, sandy paperback, coconut oil

~ Camp Crush: leather-bound diary, cedar cabin walls, fresh air

loonlakecandles.com Winter Shop will be closing tomorrow! After tomorrow I will only have select OG Loon Lake scents available (think Cabin in the Woods, Northern Lights)

If you are looking to shop in person I am a vendor at the Holiday Market at Rolling Forks next Saturday (11-3pm) with some sets and holiday scents ♥️

There are some amazing changes coming to Loon Lake in 2026 and it will take a few weeks to implement ❤️ so that’s why the cut off is so early this year.

Thank you all for an incredible year 😭 I will be honest, most of the year felt like I was riding an unbroken horse just hanging on for dear life but WE MADE IT THROUGH! Here are some of the top moments of 2025 :)

From moving into our home to moving candle studios this year was packed with long days and short seasons.

2026 I plan to plan, a lot. As mother once said, if you fail to plan, you plan to fail. And my mental health has suffered because I’ve been “going with the flow” for a little too long 😅 on the top of my to dos for next year is REST sitting right alongside having FUN. It’s been a couple years of hard work for Dylan and I and it’s time for some giggles and memories made in this family ♥️
