I officially had my first real day as a CFI! 🛫🤍

I got to give a surprise intro flight to a 13-year-old for his birthday (yes, coolest gift ever), and let me tell you… he was so excited to take the flight controls. It reminded me exactly why I started doing this in the first place.

His whole family got to watch him take off from nearby, and the pride on their faces made the moment even more special.
⁣

Hi, I’m Sadie 👋 aka Pilot Sadie! And no, I didn’t always think I’d end up in aviation.

For the longest time, I was actually reluctant to fly. I didn’t grow up dreaming about aviation the way some people do. But the second I took my first lesson? Something clicked and I haven’t looked back since. Being in the sky was a feeling I wanted to have forever.
⁣
Now I’m a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) working toward ATP minimums, and I feel so lucky to get to teach, fly, study, and grow every single day. There’s still a long way to go in this career, but I’m beyond excited to be on the journey.
⁣
When I’m not in the sky (or prepping for my next checkride lol), you can usually find me:
🌾 Visiting my family’s farm in Nebraska
🏋️‍♀️ Getting a lift in at the gym
🏄‍♀️ Having a lake day with the people I love
