HALIFAX-NORTHAMPTON REGIONAL AIRPORT TO CLOSE RUNWAY FOR PAVEMENT MAINTENANCE

The Halifax-Northampton Regional Airport will close the runway next week for a pavement maintenance project in partnership with the NC Division of Aviation to include asphalt crack and joint sealing and airfield marking cleaning and re-painting. The runway closure will be in place from Tuesday, May 30 through Friday, June 2 from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs) have been issued by the airport to make pilots aware. Communication has also been made to hangar tenants and owners of aircraft tied down at the airport. For additional information, please contact Airport Manager Fred Draper and the airport staff at 252-583-3492.

Now is the time to list your property for 2023!

Listing forms were mailed to property owners on December 30. Property owners need to mark any changes to their property on the listing form, sign, date and return it to our office before the listing period ends on January 31, 2023. Unlisted or late-listed property is subject to a 10% penalty added to the tax bill.

Forms can be mailed in the provided envelope and must be postmarked no later than January 31, 2023 in order to avoid the penalty.

You can also return listing forms to the Tax Department in the Court Services Building located at 357 Ferrell Lane in Halifax. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A DIFFERENT LOCATION THAN IN PREVIOUS YEARS!
