2024 Rider Testimonials:

1) BitterRoot Bus is a blessing! To live here in God’s Country is a blessing. To have the BitterRoot Bus available to me tops it all off. The bus will take you to appointments for medical or personal needs, grocery shopping or a fun day visiting downtown local stores. If you have a special need, you can call dispatch Monday – Friday 8:00 am to 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. They will produce the perfect solution. From the wonderful staff and drivers, they are the best to see to your needs and safety. I do not know what I would do if they were not there for me.
-Bonnie (Hamilton)

2) After the accident, I was not able to drive. I searched for services that would provide transportation to PT, OT, and other health related appointments. Luckily, I was referred to the BitterRoot Bus service. Being able to get to appointments and back home on my schedule is an important part of my physical rehabilitation. The vans that I use are well equipped, and the drivers have been trained to provide a safe and professional service. I would not hesitate to recommend Bitterroot Bus to anyone needing a transportation service in the Bitterroot Valley/Missoula area.
-Mike (Corvallis)

3) BitterRoot Bus has been a lifesaver for me. I needed a ride to work, and they were the best option. I quickly discovered that LaNette has a wonderful team of drivers who are always friendly, professional and on-time. They have been fair and respectful, and I appreciate the service they provide. Thank You!
-Cheryl (Corvallis)

4) I am a 71-year-old disabled lady that does not have my own transportation. I use the BitterRoot Bus service quite often. The staff and drivers are always pleasant and go out of their way to fit me in on occasional short notice. Having this service in our beautiful valley is an amazing plus!
-Linda (Hamilton)

5) I started riding with BitterRoot Bus in January 2024. That’s when I started dialysis. They pick me up and drop me off at my front door three times a week. LaNette and all the gentlemen who drive the bus are very polite and courteous. They are very good at driving the buses. If it wasn’t for BitterRoot Bus taking me to town, I wouldn’t be able to get to my treatments. The cost is very reasonable, and I would recommend this business for your transportation needs.
-Rita (Stevensville)

6) After moving here in 2023, I was classified as a shut-in, counting on friends and family to take me to my appointments. After signing up for the bus service, I got my freedom and independence back. I can do errands, go shopping, go to my medical appointments, and even go out to lunch with friends. Everyone from the Transportation Coordinator to the drivers are friendly, polite, and even fun. I highly recommend this service.
-Jeanette (Hamilton)

7) I have been riding BitterRoot Bus since it’s beginning. I am legally blind and live alone. Because of the bus, I have been able to go to work, shop and attend medical appointments. The drivers are reliable, and scheduling is easy if you call ahead.
-Mary (Hamilton)

Driver: George

The day I turned seventeen was the day I’d been waiting for. With my oldest sister signing as my legal guardian, I went to the local U. S. Army recruitment office and proudly joined. I wanted to give something back to a country that had already given me so much. Then, after two terms, I decided to see what else the big world had to offer.

My deep knowledge of transportation eventually led me to a 34-year career with the city of Everett in Washington state as a Coach Operator. After retiring in 2021, my wife and I fulfilled our dream of moving to the magnificent Bitterroot Valley.

Although I am the newest driver at Bitterroot Bus, I can tell you that I enjoy the people I work for and feel especially blessed to provide the citizens of Ravalli County with safe and reliable transportation. It is pure joy for me; to say that I love what I do is an understatement!

Hello Everyone,

Appearing below is the agenda for out next TAC Meeting planned for Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at 10:00 am at Ravalli County COA, 310 Old Corvallis Rd. Hamilton, MT. 59840. There have been a few changes made to the Coordination Plan that we will be discussing. I strongly encourage you all to attend so that we can receive public comments to help the Ravalli County Transportation companies within the valley improve and flourish. In the last year and a half that I have been the BitterRoot Bus Transportation Coordinator, I have been trying to grow our TAC attendance to more than the regular 3 attendees but so far, I have had very little success. As you all know, our valley’s population has significantly increased within the past few years, I feel that developing the public’s interest for public transportation is extremely important. Please join us in a discussion to help enhance the public transportation availability for our community citizens.

I was raised in Central, MO. I joined the United State Air Force in 1980. I spent 20 years all over the world and retired in Great Falls, MT. I took care of my dad in MO until his passing when I returned to my wife's home in the Bitterroot Valley. I worked at Lowe's in Missoula for nearly 16 years. I have been driving for the BitterRoot Bus since June 13, 2021. I enjoy most of it (I at least haven't got fired yet.🤣) I look forward to continuing for as long as I can, helping others.
