White Lightning's Midnight Express, Inc. Trucking company We are a freight transportation company that hauls anything from lumber and steel to mulch and municipal waste. WLME was founded in July 2011.

We are family owned and our drivers are like family too. We haul freight along the east coast, as far as Conneticut but are registered in 48 states.

My husband was heading out of New York on Jersey Turnpike when on the CB he heard a single plane hit "a tower". He said all truckers heard it was a single plane and assumed it was a little plane like a 3 seater. Then a short time later, his then wife called him to tell him about the second plane. He said that traffic was stopped and police were inspecting all truckers and box trucks searching for potential threats. If a driver looked Muslim port authority police were definitely suspicious of them. Truckers were blocking other truckers to allow PA police to inspect. Donnie (my husband) said the traffic was dead stopped nearly half a work day so getting to his destinations was delayed. He still believes til this day that even though he doesn't have cancer, he feels being down there for all of those hours, he got contaminated inhalation with dust particles. He had the windows closed yet dust got under the hood so must've got into vents and into his lungs. He doesn't have cancer symptoms but never been tested. However he developed chronic bronchitis and still has it till this day. He is 70 now and deals with it.
