Our final day aboard the Disney Magic was the perfect way to end an unforgettable Alaskan adventure.
We took it slow and started the morning with the famous churro waffles at Cabanas, paired with two incredible specialty lattes a Pistachio and a Mocha Supreme. Surprisingly, we both agreed the lattes from the Soul Cat Lounge were even better than the ones at Cove Café!
The day was filled with fun as we watched Who’s Behind the Curtain? and played TV Catchphrase, Heard That?, and Sports Trivia to round out our week of game shows.
One of the highlights of the day was our beverage tastings. We took both the Mixology and Martini classes with Bonny, who was an amazing host and teacher. I honestly didn’t think I’d enjoy one of the tastings…and it ended up being my favorite!
We wrapped up the cruise with a farewell dinner at Lumiere’s before the not-so-fun task of packing our suitcases. One thing I learned on this cruise? I could never do Alaska without a balcony. We had beautiful, warm weather all week and spent so much time sitting outside enjoying the scenery it was worth every penny.
This morning we enjoyed one last breakfast at Lumiere’s before doing the express walk-off disembark. We kept our luggage with us instead of putting it out the night before, making for a quick and easy exit. From there, we walked to the train and headed straight to Vancouver International Airport.
I have to say, Vancouver has been one of the easiest cruise ports I’ve ever experienced. Between the walkability and excellent public transportation, getting around couldn’t have been simpler. I would absolutely recommend spending a day or two here before or after your cruise.
Thank you, Disney Magic, for an unforgettable week filled with glaciers, whales, incredible food, amazing entertainment, new friends, and memories that will last a lifetime.
Before signing off, I have to give a huge thank you to the cast members and crew who made this week so special. Disney truly has the most amazing people.
• Cici at Guest Services, who was always there with a smile and ready to help.
• Hongbee from South Korea, our assistant server, and Thiago from Brazil, our server, who made every meal feel special.
• Jessica from Mexico, who always greeted us warmly.
• Cory and Thaninde (“Candy”) from the Senses Spa for helping us relax and unwind.
• Rein from the Philippines in the Photo Shop for helping us capture so many memories.
• James and Kirsten from the Entertainment team, who kept us laughing and engaged all week.
• Tracy, our bartender, who made every drink with a smile.
• And Bonny, who made both our Mixology and Martini classes some of the most enjoyable experiences of the cruise.
Until the next adventure…
