On July 1, Hawaiian Airlines rolls out a brand new Main Cabin menu on flights between the islands and the continent, built by Maui's own Chef Sheldon Simeon of Tin Roof and Tiffany's. Mochiko chicken with garlic noodles, teriyaki cheeseburger, banh mi, the works. Made fresh within 12 hours of your flight.

Starting July 1, 2026, Main Cabin on flights between Hawai’i and the U.S. continent gets a pre-order menu by Maui’s Chef Sheldon Simeon - all local, all fresh. Here’s the full breakdown 👇

🕕 MORNING (flights departing 6:00–9:59 a.m.)
• Corned beef hash & eggs — $15.99
• Island-style French toast breakfast — $15.99
• Banana pancake breakfast — $15.99
• Coconut overnight oats — $10.99 (vegan, GF)
• Cheesy omelet — $13.99 (coming this fall)

🕙 AFTERNOON / EVENING (flights departing 10:00 a.m.–8:29 p.m.)

Domodomo Hawaii had to be the best value sushi for the price. Honestly blown away by the quality.

We got the Sushi & Handroll Deluxe Set for Two for $63 🤯🍣

If you’re looking for a solid sushi spot on Oʻahu, Hawaii without spending crazy money, this one is worth checking out.

🇵🇭 Fly HNL ⇄ Manila on POINTS ✈️

You can now book the Philippine Airlines nonstop with points, through Qatar Airways. They’re partners now, so you still fly PAL, Qatar is just the “cash register” you pay with.

How it works, super simple:
1️⃣ Earn flexible points from a rewards program you already use
2️⃣ Move them to Qatar, where they become Qatar miles
3️⃣ Book the PAL seat with those miles. Same flight, you just paid with points

It’s been 7 months since the transition, and many locals are still confused about what changed and how to make the most of their points moving forward.

HawaiianMiles became Atmos Rewards on Oct 1, 2025. Your miles converted 1:1, nothing was lost. Here is what changed and the one move kamaʻāina should make now.

NEW ROUTE ALERT 🌴✈️
Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines just launched daily seasonal service between Honolulu and Hollywood Burbank Airport. Runs through August 18, 2026 on a Boeing 737-8 MAX.
The best part? Atmos Rewards award space is wide open at saver pricing right now.

HNL to BUR is loaded in July with 8 dates at the 12,500 mile saver level.
BUR to HNL is thinner but August has several saver returns including the final flight of the season.

If you have been sitting on Atmos points, this is the redemption to burn them on. Saver to LA at 12,500 points one way is some of the best value in the program right now.
