Christmas 1981
We were sitting around the tree when my aunt Sheila handed me what looked like a cassette tape. I opened it and it was the new release of the album Chariots of Fire. That moment still radiates in my mind. The composer crafted me into who I am as a musician today. Evangelos Odysseas Papathanassiou. The Greek composer better know. As Vangelis. I had a bucket list to travel to Greece to meet him in person, however he passed this past April. That’s ok though I still carry his gift everywhere I go. The album Antarctica trumps chariots by a long shot. Towards the fall,I’ll sit outside and often watch the sun come up while listening to echoes from that album. Check it out on utube. Cheers to the best dude who changed new age forever. He was and always will be my favorite.

We had started with rebuilding the carburetor on our dining room table while watching letterkenny. I had the floats a tad high so it ran over. I wanted to keep the peace in our household so we moved our workbench out to the shop. We fixed it and now the car is crisp.
