Just got back from Vegas for a quick Travelmation training and I have to share this hotel!! When I travel, I try to make sure that I really get great deals that don’t take away from the experience but also make sure I don’t go broke with every trip!! And this hotel made Vegas actually affordable and enjoyable!!
We stayed at the Marriott Grand Chateau right off the strip… and usually when people say they stay off the strip to save money, they have quite the journey to get to the strip. This one is less than a 5 min walk from the hotel to the strip. Located next to Planet Hollywood and about a 10 min walk to the doors of the Cosmopolitan. One of the major highlights for me was there was no casino, which meant, no cigarette smoke and no walking through a casino or shopping area to get to your room. Just a lobby and then elevators!! Another huge benefit…. No resort fees!! One downside is, this is a vacation club property so that means it is a time share property… but we weren’t pressured at all to join, no sales people hounding us… just normal hotel atmosphere!! This hotel has 2 amazing pools and hot tubs that are open all day and close at 11 pm, and the lower pool even had college football playing all weekend, while the sky pool had a sky bar with great views of the strip especially at night, perfect spot for a nightcap! This hotel also had activity schedules that fit everyone! Family friendly and adult only things to make sure everyone had something to do during the stay!!
What made this affordable to me was the full kitchen in the room!! And it was full stocked with everything we needed!! We stopped on the way to grab some groceries and were able to enjoy our favorite foods without having to spend a fortune on food and drinks!! AND the rooms have a washer and dryer, so you don’t need to pack as much!! One of my favorite parts was the very large soaking tub in the bedroom! These rooms are available in 1, 2 and 3 bedroom villas and there is soooo much space!
I would recommend this spot to anyone heading to Vegas, especially families looking for a great place to stay, still close enough to the strip but without the casino chaos!!
