01/01/2026
I came into 2025 with so much hope. After the challenges of 2024: leaving Hawaii, moving across the world to Belgium, settling into a completely new environment, navigating all the paperwork and adjustments, searching for a job, and doing it all while gray skies and endless rain surrounded us; I prayed that this year would be gentler. 2024 tested us in so many ways, but it also prepared us for what was coming.
And thank God, 2025 delivered.
This year has been filled with sunshine, literally and figuratively. Mostly sunny, dry days felt like a blessing after the heaviness of last year. It truly felt like God heard every one of our prayers.
We explored so many incredible places this year: Tenerife, Normandy, Keukenhof, The Hague, Poland, Croatia, Montenegro, Bosnia, Madrid, Germany, Reims, Dublin, etc. Each country and city gave us memories, joy, and moments that reminded us just how far we’ve come.
One of the highlights of my year was being able to return to the States for my sister’s high school graduation, a moment I wouldn’t have missed for anything.
And to end the year in the most beautiful way, I am beyond grateful to spend Christmas in Puerto Rico with family after eight long years. Being home, surrounded by love, warmth, and familiarity, is the perfect way to close this chapter.
2025 has been a year of blessings, growth, adventures, and answered prayers. My heart is full and grateful.
